Bondi Bowls Owner Opens First Brick-And-Mortar

Bondi Bowls, a food truck focused on healthy, vegan, gluten-free food options, opened its first Oklahoma location Jan. 22.

Bailey Wilson, Founder

The storefront, located at 136 E. Fifth St., Edmond, features a 30-foot mural inspired by the indigenous people of Australia, and an additional mural piece that will be changed every few months by local artists.

Bondi Bowls is a locally owned, Australian smoothie bowl company that serves healthy and nutritional food. After living in Australia for a while, owner Bailey Wilson introduced Bondi Bowls in the United States by launching a food truck franchise in 10 locations in Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama and Arkansas. Bondi Bowls was also a featured vendor at Boone Pickens Stadium during the 2021 OSU football season.

“I am thrilled that we are opening our first storefront location,” Wilson said. “I wanted this storefront to not only create community centered around healthy food in an aesthetic and fun space, but also wanted to dedicate it to Bondi Beach in Australia – a please near and dear to my heart. It has been incredible to see Bondi Bowls take off over the past year and a half. It’s even sweeter that our first permanent location is in my hometown.”
