Boom Town Creamery Opens June 22

Owner Angela Muir named the new ice cream shop after Sam Anderson’s novel Boom Town as a nod to Oklahoma City’s history.

Boom Town Creamery opens June 22 in the Uptown 23rd District.

Owner Angela Muir tied a lot in the shop to Sam Anderson’s book about Oklahoma City’s history, Boom Town.

Boom Town will have 24 flavors, which includes four limited seasonal flavors and four non-dairy options. Everything at Boom Town is made in-house from as many local ingredients as possible, from the brownies to the hot fudge sauce and waffle cone. For example, the store’s Espresso Crunch uses the Classico beans from local coffee house Elemental Coffee, and its Carmelita Cookie Crumble has a house made salted bourbon caramel ribbon made with Same Old Moses bourbon.
