Oklahoma-Based Black Optical Expands to Sixth Retail Location in the Midwest

Black Optical continues to grow its retail footprint with 23 team members, including eight American Board of Opticianry-certified opticians, throughout the Midwest region.

Black Optical recently announced it expanded to a sixth location in the Midwest.

The new Fort Worth location marks the second eyewear retail store in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area.

Black Optical continues to grow its retail footprint with 23 team members, including eight American Board of Opticianry-certified opticians, throughout the Midwest region.

“I am originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma, where we opened our first store in 2007,” said Gary Black, founder of Black Optical. “Sixteen years later, I’m thrilled to see our flourishing business is opening in Fort Worth where my family and I now call home. This is incredibly meaningful; Fort Worth is a vibrant city and the perfect location for our newest showroom. Having lived here for a few years now, I’ve learned there is a passion for eyewear so opening a location in this community is the right move.”

Black Optical is an eyewear retailer with a strong focus on independent manufacturers and designers with locations in Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Dallas and two locations in St. Louis.

“Customer experience is paramount to our business,” Black said. “I’m grateful for the warm welcome and sense of community at The Shops of Clearfork, and I look forward to forging new relationships with new clients and for the opportunity to grow in Fort Worth for years to come.”
